To all to whom these presents shall come. I James Cook Do Send Greetings. Know ye that I the said James Cook of the State of Georgia of the County of Effingham, planter for and in consideration of the love good will and affection which I have and do bear to my loving children Judea & Lucia of the same County & State of Georgia and James his heirs & Tabby & John & Benjamin & Henry & Polly & Lewis , of the same County & State of Georgia, have given and granted & by these presents Do freely give and grant unto the said Judea Bishop & Lucia Braddock & the heirs of James Cook junior & Tabby Johnston & John Cook & Benjamin Cook & Henry Cook & Polly Bennett & Lewis Cook their Heirs Executors or Administrators all singular my goods & Chattels now being in my present dwelling House in the County aforesaid, together with all my Stock, Cattle, Horses, hogs & Sheep marked with a crop & split in one ear & a swallow forked under bit in the other. Also one Negro Man of which (before me signing of these presents) I have delivered them the said India Bishop & Lucia Braddock & the heirs of James Cook junior & Tabby Johnston & John Cook & Benjamin Cook & Henry Cook & Polly Bennett & Lewis Cook, an Inventory signed with my own hand and bearing even date, To have and to hold all the said goods & Chattels in the said premises or dwelling House to them and their heirs Ever more. Administrators from hence forth as their proper goods & Chattels absolutely without any manner of Condition. In witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand Seal this sixteenth day of September One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Six..
