Capt. Nathaniel Wilds, III, born 1810, Nassau Co,, Florida, married Hester Ann Braddock, May 13,1831, in Camden Co., GA. She was born 1813 Nassau Co., FL and died 1891, Nassau Co., FL, a daughter of John David and Martha Christopher Braddock of Nassau Co. FL. They settled at Wilds landing, where Capt. Nat, as he was called, helped his father, Nathaniel Wilds, II, operate a ferry. The ferry crossing was operated for more than 70 years, until the bridge was built across the St. Marys River. The crossing of Wilds landing was a primary gateway to FL for more that a hundred years.
