In Each Heart

In each heart where Jesus dwells,
Love, compassion, grace excels;
Peace abounds and life’s serene;
Tears are few and far between.

In each heart where Jesus speaks,
It His truth and wisdom seeks,
Wants His will in every way
Over all to hold its sway.

In the heart where Jesus lives
Thanks flow forth for all He gives;
Prayer and praise rise endlessly,
Honoring His sovereignty.

​

In each heart that Jesus knows,
There no hate or envy grows;
Selfishness is cast aside
And to others opens wide.

​

In each heart where Jesus reigns,
In all things His love constrains;
Sin has lost its mastery;
In its stead is purity.

​

In each heart where Jesus stays,
He is felt in many ways,
And His love our lives declare;
Other’s sense His presence there.

​

In each heart that Jesus keeps
Will be gladness when He reaps,
For in Heaven home will be
There to live eternally.
